A 70-year-old woman struck by a truck earlier this month in the North Side Rogers Park neighborhood died Tuesday morning.
Hajrija Rasidkadic was crossing the street in the 6400 block of North Greenview at 3:51 p.m. April 6 when she was struck by the truck, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Rasidkadic, of the 5200 block of North Kenmore, was taken in grave condition to Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, police said.
She was pronounced dead at Presence Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines at 1:44 a.m. Tuesday, the medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy Thursday found she died of multiple injuries she suffered in the crash, with heart disease listed as a secondary cause. Her death was ruled an accident.
Police said the 43-year-old man driving the truck was cited for not having a driver’s license and failure to yield to a pedestrian.
