A man was shot in Washington Heights on the South Side Friday evening.

The 26-year-old was shot in the leg about 6:50 p.m. in the 9100 block of South Emerald, according to Chicago Police. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where his condition was stabilized.
