Police have released a video of a drive-by shooting that left two men wounded Saturday in north suburban Evanston. Officials are asking the public’s help to find the vehicle involved.

The shootings happened about 3:50 a.m. near Howard Street near Dodge Avenue, according to an Evanston police statement. Officers responded to a call of shots fired and found several spent shell casings in the intersection.

A short time later, two gunshot victims entered the emergency room at Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, police said.

The men told officers they had just left a club in Chicago and were in a vehicle traveling westbound on Howard toward Dodge with two other people when another vehicle pulled alongside and someone inside fired multiple shots into their vehicle, police said.

The shooter’s vehicle then drove off southbound on California Avenue, according to police.

Evanston police recovered video from the area where the shooting occurred, and have released it in hopes of finding the shooter’s vehicle. The vehicle is described as a gray or silver newer model Lincoln SUV.
