View image | gettyimages.comThe Bears lost their opening game of the 2015 season to the Green Bay Packers, 31-24. Despite a rather efficient game called by coach John Fox that kept Chicago in the contest, the team’s offense faltered in the final minutes.

Aaron Rodgers continued his dominance over the Bears with another multiple touchdown performance. He threw two scoring passes to the new acquired James Jones and one to Randall Cobb. Even though Rodgers threw for less than 200 yards (189), he missed just five passes and finished the game with a 94.4 QBR.

As little love as the Bears were shown in preseason polls, the polls released after Week 1 were even more demeaning.

According to Yahoo! Sports, the Bears slip a spot from No. 27 to No. 28. The only positive Yahoo’s poll took out of Sunday’s loss was Matt Forte’s “fresh and fast” 166-yards offensive explosion.

ESPN’s poll has the team sliding from No. 25 to No. 27. Despite the Minnesota Vikings’ struggles in Monday night’s opener, ESPN decided the No. 25 spot was better suited for them.
