A 17-year-old boy was shot in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side on Wednesday afternoon.

The teenager was standing at the intersection of North Keeler Avenue and West Augusta Boulevard at 4:02 p.m. when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the back, and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
