Man shot in Brighton Park

A man was shot early Tuesday in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 23-year-old was shot in the left shoulder and abdomen about 12:40 a.m. in the 2600 block of West 39th, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, although his condition was not immediately known, police said.
