Friday night’s Mega Millions jackpot has reached $540 million, the third-highest in the game’s history.

The drawing will be held at 9:59 p.m. Friday for the jackpot, which is the third-largest since the Mega Millions game began in 2002, according to the Illinois Lottery. The jackpot includes a cash option of $380 million, and the odds of winning are 1 in 258,890,850.

The winning number’s from Tuesday’s drawing – 29-46-53-64-73 with a Mega Ball number 0f 10 – did not result in a jackpot winner, although more than 356,000 smaller prizes, ranging from $1 to $25,000, were won in Illinois, lottery officials said.
