Man shot in Cragin

A man was wounded in a shooting Friday afternoon in the Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

About 12:51 p.m., the 26-year-old was inside a vehicle in the 5200 block of West Diversey when a male walked up and shot him in the hip, according to Chicago Police. He drove himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.

Two people were taken into custody in connection with the shooting and investigators have recovered a weapon, police said. The shooting was thought to be gang-related.
