A teenage boy was in critical condition after a shooting in the North Side Edgewater neighborhood Saturday night.

Two males approached the 16-year-old on foot and began shooting as he was walking on the sidewalk about 10:30 p.m. in the 6200 block of North Hermitage, according to Chicago Police. He was shot multiple times.

He was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston in critical condition, police said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
