In two separate incidents, females were woken up by a half-naked man in their bedrooms Friday during a string of home invasions in the Wicker Park neighborhood, police said.

At 12:45 a.m., a female was asleep in her home in the 1400 block of North Greenview when she woke up to someone standing at the foot of her bed with his pants down, according to a community alert from Chicago Police. She pleaded with the male not to hurt her and he then stole several items from the home and escaped out the window. Police said he likely used the window to get into the residence.

About 10:45 p.m. that same day, the victims were in their home in the 1200 block of North Wood when they heard noises coming from the rear bedroom, police said. One of the victims went to investigate the noise and discovered the bedroom door was locked. When the victims forced their way into the bedroom, the suspect had gotten out via the window.

About 11:10 p.m., a female was asleep in her home in the 1800 block of West Evergreen when she woke up with a male, naked from the waist down, on top of her with his hand covering her mouth, police said. While pleading for help, she was able to break free and the suspect then jumped out the bedroom window.

The suspect from the Greenview and Evergreen incidents was described as a black man, thought to be in his 20s, police said.
