2 shot in Archer Heights

Two people were wounded in an Archer Heights neighborhood shooting Saturday night on the Southwest Side.

The 17-year-old boy and 19-year-old man were standing outside about 11:35 p.m. in the 4000 block of West 38th Street when they heard gunfire and both felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

They were both shot in the right arm and were being treated at Mount Sinai Hospital, where their conditions were stabilized, police said.

The robberies occurred in the Deering, Ogden, Harrison and Town Hall police districts, with nine robberies reported in Brighton Park over an hour on Saturday.
