A man tried to rob a Bank of America branch Monday morning on the South Side.

The suspect did not show a weapon when he attempted to rob the branch at 1651 E. 95th St. at 9:02 a.m., according to the FBI.

No one was injured in the robbery, authorities said.

The would-be robber is described as a black man, standing about 5-foot-10, in his late 40s to late 50s, with a heavy build, the FBI said. He was wearing a black and white hat, a white short-sleeved button-down shirt, a white undershirt and silver glasses.

Anyone with information on the attempted robbery is asked to contact the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
