A 51-year-old man was found dead Tuesday morning in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

At 8:36 a.m., the man was found unresponsive by a neighbor outside in the 5600 block of West Washington, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:22 a.m., authorities said. The man’s cause and manner of death are pending additional testing.

Police could not confirm reports that the man had fallen out of a window.
