A 63-year-old man was killed in a single-car crash Sunday afternoon on the Edens Expressway near north suburban Glencoe.

About 2 p.m., Miahailo Bjelopetrovich crashed his car into a concrete embankment at the ramp from eastbound I-94 to Tower Road, according to Illinois State Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Bjelopetrovich, of Grayslake, was ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:30 p.m., authorities said.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
