A man was shot to death on Saturday morning in south suburban Markham.

Travis Smith, 28, was shot about 2 a.m. in the 16400 block of Wood Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Smith, of Sauk Village, was pronounced dead at 3:21 a.m., the medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy on Sunday found he died of multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide.

Markham police were not immediately available to provide information about the shooting on Sunday.
