A 17-year-old boy was shot Tuesday morning in the South Side Douglas neighborhood.

The shooting happened at 11:12 a.m. in the 3400 block of South State Street, according to Chicago Police.

The victim was shot in the left buttock and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
