A man was seriously wounded Sunday afternoon in an Englewood neighborhood shooting on the South Side.

The 20-year-old was standing at 4:17 p.m. in the 6400 block of South Parnell when a group of people walked up and fired shots, striking him in the buttocks, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said.
