A man robbed a bank at gunpoint Wednesday in west suburban Darien.

The takeover bank robbery happened at 9:02 a.m. at the West Suburban Bank branch at 1005 75th St. in Darien, according to the FBI.

The suspect displayed a gun during the robbery, FBI spokesman Garrett Croon said.

He was described as a 5-foot-7 black man, thought to be between 25 and 30 years old, with a thin build, the FBI said. The suspect was wearing a dark-colored zip-up jacket, and a black and white bandana.
