A 34-year-old North Side man was killed in a motorcycle crash Thursday afternoon near the Loop.

About 4:30 p.m., Dobri R. Dobrev was riding a motorcycle west on Wacker Drive when he drove through a red light and slammed into a Chevrolet HHR in the 300 block of North Columbus, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Dobri was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead within the hour, authorities said. He lived in Sheridan Park.

The 68-year-old woman driving the Chevrolet was taken to the same hospital in good condition. She was not ticketed, police said.
