LaVar Ball calls for pay-per-view matchup against Michael Jordan

In case you haven’t heard, LaVar Ball has been running his mouth lately. Whether it’s refs, talk-show hosts or old NBA stars, no target has escaped the mouthy father of hoop trio Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball.

During several of his egotistical rants, Ball has claimed he could beat Michael Jordan in his prime, hold him to two points and beat him and LeBron James with LaMelo — take your pick.

Jordan has shrugged it off — until now.

The GOAT and ultimate trash-talker might have taken the air out of Mr. Ball once and for all. Addressing players at his Flight School camp, Jordan was asked about how a matchup with LaVar Ball would go. Here’s how he responded:

“You got to understand the source. I think he played college … maybe? He averaged 2.2 points. Really? It doesn’t deserve a response, but I’m going to give it to you because you asked the question. I don’t think he could beat me if I was one-legged.”

Now, Ball is calling for a pay-per-view, one-on-one game with Jordan.

Ball tweeted from his family’s “Big Baller” business account calling for the game.

After Jordan’s comments, Ball went on ESPN radio Tuesday to talk about a potential one-on-one game with Jordan.

“Look at everybody, man. Everybody used to say, ‘You know, I think Wilt Chamberlain is better than Shaquille O’Neal; I think Oscar Robertson is better than LeBron.’ Now the story is LaVar is better than Michael Jordan,” Ball told ”The Really Big Show” on WKNR (ESPN-850) in Cleveland.

“Come on, I didn’t even play basketball in the pros, and they’re talking about me and Michael Jordan. That’s what I’m talking about. He tells me he can beat me with one leg. Well, guess what: I can beat him with one hand. Now we both look like we out there like we can’t play.”
