A man was seriously wounded in a drive-by shooting early Friday in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

The 26-year-old was standing outside about 12:05 a.m. in the 2200 block of South Kildare when someone in a passing red sedan fired shots in his direction, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to his buttocks, poise said.
