Man, 20, shot in Austin

A man was shot Wednesday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 20-year-old was standing on the sidewalk about 11 p.m. in the 5200 block of West Adams when a male fired shots from a vacant lot, Chicago Police said.

The man was struck in his left leg and taken was taken to Loretto Hospital, police said. His condition had stabilized.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
