A West Englewood shooting left a teenage girl wounded Thursday evening on the South Side.

Shortly before 10 p.m., the 13-year-old was in the back seat of a car driving north in the 6500 block of South Bell when people walked off a nearby porch and opened fire on the car, according to Chicago Police.

She was shot in the back, and her condition was stabilized as Stroger Hospital.

Police initially said the shooting might have happened during an exchange of gunfire. No one was in custody.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
