A 24-year-old man was shot Friday afternoon in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

He was shot in the hand about 3:30 p.m. in the 900 block of North Lavergne, according to Chicago Police. He was being uncooperative with police, and details on the circumstances of the shooting were unknown.

The man was taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where he was in good condition.
