A man was shot dead Friday morning in the Marquette Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Officers responding to a call of shots fired at 11:14 a.m. found 23-year-old Michah Brown laying unresponsive in the 6400 block of South Talman with a gunshot wound to his chest, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He had been shot by the someone in a passing vehicle.

Brown was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:28 a.m., and his body was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, authorities said. He lived in the Gresham neighborhood.

An autopsy Saturday found he died of multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said.
