A man was shot early Sunday in the Near West Side neighborhood.

The 22-year-old was standing on a sidewalk at 12:47 a.m. in the 2600 block of West Wilcox when he heard shots and realized he had been struck, according to Chicago Police.

He showed up at Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the back, police said. His condition was stabilized.
