A man was stabbed to death Sunday evening in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

About 9:40 p.m., 23-year-old Antonio Jones was involved in a fight with a female inside an apartment in the 10600 block of South Wabash Avenue when he was stabbed in the chest, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He was taken to Roseland Community Hospital, where he died, police said.

An autopsy found he died of multiple sharp force injuries and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner’s office.

The female was in custody and charges against her were pending Monday afternoon, police said.

Area South detectives were conducting a homicide investigation.
