Moon Alert

Caution! Avoid shopping or important decisions from 4:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Chicago time. After that, the Moon moves from Virgo into Libra.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

You are determined to achieve something today. Perhaps something has come to a head? Whatever it is, you want to get what you want! You’re determined and going forward hell-bent for leather. Do not be ruthless. (Possibly, someone will deal aggressively with you. Caution.)

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Today you’re pushing hard for something. It might be related to travel or dealing with foreign countries or other cultures. It might be about race, religion or politics. It might be about publishing, the media, medicine or the law. Patience.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

A determined struggle might take place today about inheritances, shared property or insurance. Perhaps it’s about differing values? Whatever the case, you are entrenched in your point of view and opposing someone else. Easy does it.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Power struggles with a close friend or partner are likely today. But you don’t have to get involved because it takes two to make a fight, as you well know. What is the upside? Basically this is an ego battle. Instead harness this energy to work hard at something. Get stuff done!

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

You can accomplish a tremendous amount today because you are focused, energetic and driven. You might work hard at your job or any task that you set for yourself. You will also be fervent about improving your health.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Avoid power struggles with kids as well as ego battles with romantic partners because there is no upside. Why win the battle and lose the war? These are relationships you value, therefore, pull in your reins a little. Remember: You can be right or you can be in the relationship.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Do avoid power struggles with family members today, especially authority figures. There is no upside. Why get everyone upset? Family is gold and family arguments are harmful to everyone. Don’t get your belly in a rash. Try to see what it’s like to walk a mile in someone else’s wedgies.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

There is strong energy out there today that makes people argumentative. You can use this same energy and get a great deal of satisfaction by working hard. Nevertheless, avoid dangerous neighborhoods. Avoid angry people.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Power struggles about possessions and money are likely today. People are always touchy about money. (People are more private about their financial secrets than they are about their sex life!) Respect someone else’s position about money and possessions. And don’t let them bully you about yours.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Today fiery Mars and big daddy Pluto are lined up in your sign, which makes you aggressive. It also makes other people aggressive, so be careful about severe ego conflicts. Power struggles and even violent confrontations are possible. But of course, this doesn’t have to happen. Instead use this energy to work long and hard because you will accomplish a lot.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Avoid dangerous neighborhoods today. Avoid dangerous activities and people who are slightly suspicious. I don’t mean for you to be paranoid, but even paranoids have enemies. Respect other people’s secrets. Stay cool.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

If you’re involved with a group, you might come up against someone else who has differing opinions today. It could be a real clash of ideas or ideals. Since this is a poor day to resolve anything, postpone these discussions for another day. Be smart.

If Your Birthday Is Today

Actor Channing Tatum (1980) shares your birthday today. You are resolute and steadfast. (Sometimes you appear aloof.) You like to have a plan. You are loyal to your ideals. This is a year full of excitement and stimulation! Embrace change and new opportunities. Be prepared to act fast. Your personal freedom will be a top priority. You will travel and do things to expand your horizons. Enjoy this busy, fast-paced year!
