A woman was charged with the abduction of her 5-year-old daughter Saturday afternoon from the Little Village neighborhood on the West Side.

Susette Reynosa, 22, was charged Saturday night with one felony count of unlawful restraint for illegally taking her biological daughter Alma Villalobos, who she does not have custody of, Chicago police said.

The girl was out for a walk with a relative when Reynosa approached them in the 3700 block of West 26th Street. She took Villalobos and left with her in a white Pontiac Aztec SUV from, according to police.

That night, Reynosa took the girl to her home in the 1800 block of South Springfield. She was taken into custody and Villalobos was returned safely to her father, police said.

Police found there was an active warrant for Reynosa on an unrelated charge, police said.

She is scheduled to appear in bond court Tuesday.
