Three people were shot Friday evening in a South Side Bronzeville neighborhood shooting.

The shooting happened about 6:50 p.m. in the 700 block of East 50th Street, according to Chicago police.

Two 17-year-old boys were shot in their ankles and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where their conditions stabilized, police said.

A 21-year-old man was shot in the head, police said. He was in critical condition at University of Chicago.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
