A man was wounded in a shooting Wednesday night in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the Far South Side.

At 11:09 p.m., the 26-year-old was arguing with a 36-year-old man who took out a gun and shot him in the hand in the 11600 block of South Vincennes, according to Chicago police.

He was taken to Metro South Hospital and later transferred to Christ Medical Center in an unknown condition, police said.

The older man was taken into custody after the shooting, police said. He was later released without being charged.
