A 33-year-old man was shot and wounded early Saturday in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

About 2:40 a.m., the man was standing on a sidewalk in the 1600 block of North Talman Avenue when heard gunfire and realized he’d been hit, Chicago police said.

He was struck in his abdomen and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Area North detectives were investigating.
