A man was shot while driving early Sunday on the Near West Side.

The 25-year-old was driving westbound when he heard shots and felt pain about 2:05 a.m. in the 2400 block of West Adams, according to Chicago police.

He was shot in his head, police said.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Area North detectives were investigating.
