A man from Chicago was killed in a crash Sunday in west suburban Batavia.

Scott Meyers, 36, was driving north about 5:20 p.m. and collided with an oncoming vehicle near the bike bridge on Kirk Road, Batavia police said in a statement. Meyers’ vehicle came to rest in a ditch, where he pronounced dead.

Two male juveniles from the other vehicle were transported with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

Another vehicle crashed into the vehicle of the juveniles, but no one from that vehicle was injured, police said. One more vehicle sustained minor damage after driving through debris at the scene.

No citations were issued, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
