A woman was sexually assaulted during a home invasion at her apartment in Marquette Park on the Southwest Side.

The attack happened about 3:05 p.m. Thursday in the 2700 block of West 65th Street, Chicago police said.

The 25-year-old reported that two males broke through her kitchen window and cornered her in a bedroom, police said. One of them was armed.

They sexually assaulted her and then stole property from her home before leaving, police said. She was taken to Holy Cross Hospital for treatment.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
