Criminal vehicle damage happened throughout North Side neighborhoods including in the 1200 block of West Arthur Avenue.

Police are warning North Siders about a spate of criminal vehicle damage incidents reported this month in Rogers park, West Rogers Park, Margate Park, Ravenswood and Edgewater Beach.

In each case, a person or group of people use a brick or rock to break the back windows of vehicles, Chicago police said in an alert.

The incidents happened:

  • About 3 p.m. May 1 in the 1200 block of West Arthur Avenue
  • Between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. May 3-4 in the 7500 block of North Ridge Boulevard
  • Between 5:30 p.m. and 6:45 a.m. May 7-8 in the 4900 block of N. Marine Drive
  • Between 9:45 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. May 9-10 in the 7400 block of North Sheridan Road
  • Between 9:50 p.m. and 9:45 a.m. May 11-12 in the 1900 block of West Lawrence Avenue
  • Between 2 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. May 12-13 in the 1100 block of West Columbia Avenue
  • Between 6 p.m. and 7:50 a.m. May 14-15 in the 900 block of West Carmen Avenue
  • Between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. May 15-16 in the 7100 block of N. Paulina Street
  • Between 3:19 a.m. and 4 a.m. May 18 in the 2800 block of West Chase Avenue
  • Between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. May 18 in the 2900 block of West Sherwin Avenue
  • Between 12:55 p.m. and 1:20 p.m. May 18 in the 7500 block of North Rockwell Street
  • Between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. May 18 in the 2800 block of West Touhy Avenue
  • Between 3:30 p.m. and 12:25 p.m. May 17-18 in the 1000 block of West Balmoral Avenue
  • About 6:30 p.m. May 18 in the 2900 block of West Jerome Street

The suspects were seen wearing a long hooded jacket, dark pants and light colored gym shoes, police said.
