A 26-year-old man died Thursday in a motorcycle crash in west suburban Elmwood Park.

Mateusz Poniatowski, who lived in Elmwood Park, was involved in the crash about 6:15 p.m. in the 7800 block of Belmont Avenue, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

An autopsy Saturday concluded that Poniatowski died of multiple injuries from a motorcycle striking an automobile, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled an accident.

Elmwood Park police did not respond to a request for details.
