Harlem Avenue reopens after water main break at 60th Street

The southbound lanes of Harlem Avenue were shut down at 60th Street for more than four hours Friday as crews repaired a water main break.

The break was reported about 9:20 a.m. on the Southwest Side by the Illinois Department of Transportation.

All lanes were open again by 2:45 p.m., according to IDOT spokeswoman Maria Castaneda.
