Bears running back Matt Forte and wide receiver Eddie Royal will both miss Monday night’s game against the Chargers with knee injuries suffered Sunday, coach John Fox said Saturday.

Rookie Jeremy Langford will start for Forte, whose injury was expected to keep him out Monday, and probably longer. Neither Forte nor Royal practiced all week.

Center Hroniss Grasu is doubtful with a neck injury. Outside linebacker Pernell McPhee, who missed practice Thursday and Friday, returned on a limited basis and is questionable with a knee injury.

Fox said the team feels “good” about getting McPhee ready for Monday, calling his knee “bothersome.”

Cornerback Bryce Callahan was cleared from the team’s concussion protocol.
