Chicago Bears legend Dan Hampton visited a Habitat for Humanity build site in Aurora on Thursday to raise awareness for “Building On!” – a six-month initiative engaging corporate sponsors and employee groups in building Habitat homes with six affiliates across the region.

Hampton met the future homeowner, Latricia Stone, and her two sons, Yinka and Samuel.

“This is your first home, and you have paid a price with your sweat equity and your investment,” Hampton said. “Your sons are going to see the work, the care, the emotion that you have basically poured into this house making it a home. I put a lot of equity into the Bears to make them something special. And when you do that, you have great pride and integrity – and you’re building the community.”
