The mayor’s race and 19 wards will see runoffs in April. Mayor Rahm Emanuel and candidates his Super PAC backed took a beating. Here’s a look at the contests, with the top two vote getters listed.

One incumbent was pushed into a runoff in a ward in which Emanuel’s Super PAC backed another incumbent, Ald. JoAnn Thompson, who died before the election.

Runoffs will also be held in four other wards (2nd, 15th, 24th and 36th) in which there was no incumbent.
