Man shot twice through window of Zion home

Someone fired multiple shots through the front window of a home in the 2300 block of Gilead Avenue, Zion police said. A 42-year-old man was shot in the leg and shoulder.

Authorities are investigating after a man was shot Thursday in north suburban Zion.

At least one person fired multiple shots through the front window of a home about 11:15 p.m. in the 2300 block of Gilead Avenue, according to a statement from Zion police. A 42-year-old man was shot in the leg and shoulder.

He was taken to Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan for treatment, police said. Neither wound was considered life threatening.

Investigators recovered nine spent shell casings from a 9mm firearm at the scene, police said. No other injuries were reported.
