Woman shot while driving in Humboldt Park

She was in the 1400 block of North Washtenaw Avenue when she was shot in the back, police said.

The woman’s condition was stabilized at Stroger Hospital, police said.

A 36-year-old woman was injured in a shooting Saturday in Humboldt Park on the West Side.

She was driving about 3:54 a.m. in the 1400 block of North Washtenaw Avenue when she heard gunfire and felt pain, Chicago police said.

The woman was struck in the back, and her condition was stabilized at Stroger Hospital, police said.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
