A 19-year-old man who went missing from Genoa in March was found dead in a field June 14 in the far Northwest suburb.

Joseph Maynard was reported missing March 8 from the 31000 block of Daniels Drive, Genoa police said. On June 14, a farmer found his body in a farm field west of the Ellwood Greens subdivision, just a half mile from Maynard’s home.

An autopsy revealed that Maynard’s cause of death was exposure, and a toxicology report is pending, police said. There were no signs of injury on Maynard’s body and foul play is not suspected.
