A man was shot to death Tuesday while walking through Park Manor on the South Side.
Travis P. Wilson, 27, was walking with a woman, 29, about 2:30 a.m. in the first block of East 74th Street when he was gunned down from behind, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. The shooter fled in an unknown direction while the woman ran to the corner of 73rd Street and Wabash Avenue.
Wilson was pronounced dead on the scene with several gunshot wounds to the body, authorities said. He lived in Princeton Park. The woman was not injured.
An autopsy found Wilson died from complications of multiple gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
