A man was killed and another was wounded in a shooting Saturday in Little Village on the Southwest Side.

Albert Delgado, 43, and a 21-year-old man were were traveling in a vehicle about 1:17 a.m. in the 2200 block of South Spaulding Avenue when someone on foot opened fire, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Delgado was struck twice in the abdomen and was pronounced dead at Mt. Sinai Hospital, authorities said. The 21-year-old was hit in the face and arm and was taken to the same hospital in critical condition.

Delgado’s death was ruled a homicide by the medical examiner’s office. An autopsy Sunday found he died of multiple gunshot wounds.

No arrests have been made as Area Central detectives investigate.
