South Shore apartments burglarized, Chicago police say

In each burglary, someone broke into apartments through windows or rear doors, then took property from inside, police said.

A man was seriously injured Jan. 28, 2020, in a vehicle crash in the Gold Coast. — Two apartments were burglarized in December 2019 and January 2020 in South Shore on the South Side.

Chicago police are warning residents of a recent pair of burglaries reported in South Shore on the South Side.

In these incidents, someone broke into apartments through windows or a rear door, then took property from therein, Chicago police said.

The burglaries happened about 11:30 p.m. Dec. 27 in the 6900 block of South Merrill Avenue and about 1:30 p.m. Jan. 2 in the 6900 block of South Paxton Avenue, police said.
