Apartments burglarized in South Shore: police

In each burglary, someone broke into apartments through windows or rear doors, then took property from inside, police said.

Two apartments were burglarized in December 2019 and January 2020 in South Shore on the South Side.

Chicago police are warning residents of a recent pair of burglaries reported in South Shore on the South Side.

In these incidents, someone broke into apartments through windows or a rear door, then took property from therein, Chicago police said.

The burglaries happened about 11:30 p.m. Dec. 27 in the 6900 block of South Merrill Avenue and about 1:30 p.m. Jan. 2 in the 6900 block of South Paxton Avenue, police said.
