A 24-year-old man is in serious condition after being shot in the left leg Friday night, police said.
The man was standing in the sidewalk in the 5400 block of South Talman Avenue in Gage Park when he was shot around 9:40 p.m., Chicago police said. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in serious condition.
Earlier Friday evening, three people, including a teenager, were shot within a half hour across Chicago. All were in good condition.
Around 6:15 p.m., a 36-year-old man was near a business in the 4300 block of West Cermak Road in North Lawndale when he was shot in or near one of his feet, Chicago police said. He transported himself to Mt. Sinai Hospital.
In Englewood around 6:45 p.m., a man, 24, was shot in the leg in the 7100 block of South Morgan Street. He was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, police said.
Around the same time in East Garfield Park, a 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg in the 3100 block of West Polk Street, Chicago police said. He was transported to Stroger Hospital.
No one is in custody in any of the incidents; detectives are investigating.
