A man was shot in his ear Monday morning on the Bishop Ford Expressway near 115th Street.

The shooting happened about 11 a.m. in the northbound lanes, according to preliminary information from Illinois State Police. He then drove himself to a nearby police station.

Paramedics found the man at the 5th District police station, 727 E. 111th St., and took him Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to a Chicago Fire Department spokesman.

His condition was not immediately available.

State police are investigating the shooting.
