Armed robberies reported in Lawndale

The robberies happened Sunday in the 4000 block of West 19th Street and Tuesday in the 1800 block of South Pulaski Road, police said.

Police are warning Lawndale residents about a pair of armed robberies this week in the West Side neighborhood.

In both incidents, the robber approached someone and either implied or showed a gun before taking their property, Chicago police said.

The robberies happened about 9 p.m. Sunday in the 4000 block of West 19th Street and about 2:50 p.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of South Pulaski Road, police said.

Police did not provide a description of any suspects.
